History

The first in a family of mecha designed to take care of the close in dirty work that even in the age of space crafts the fighting would eventually lead to. Able to operate as inter-fleet defenders there use could also be extended for space colony assault or any area which would require inclosed space action. The breakthrough needed to make this mecha possible was obtained by reverse engineering captured LUX angeltech. With this technology the HALO (Hardened Anomaly Light Object) could manipulate any joint or extension in a cylinder extending down from the highest point of the HALO's position. In essence if any of the mecha's extensions or limbs were in the field of operation they could be powered and moved with very few mechanical or electronic systems. The HALO system as a bonus acted as the main source of propulsion and could generate a fairly decent energy barrier. The large downside was the lightness in armoring which when faced against certain opponents could mean a quick death for a Angelus pilot. To act against this and any other kind of fatality was an experimental Chrono Life preservation system which could rewind time 3 seconds before the mech's destruction. This allowed for many second chances but the system was flawed and with each subsequent use the chance of failure increased. Armed with a fairly comprehensive suite oif weapons the Angelus could account itself well when facing many of its opponents. Proving its worth in the first few engagements the Angelus family of mecha are expected to see continue use and expansion in the Zaibatsu space fleets.
