Numbering in the billions at least this battlepod is the most prolific craft of the Golden Hemogeny. Fast and manuverable it can fly evenly matched with many Grand Alliance mecha. With two modes of battle this battlepod is adaptable to most combat situations. While not really good in close combat, Golem formation is better then nothing. Able to act both as an atmospheric and space fighter it shows a level of adaptability unmatched by almost all Grand alliance mecha.

The major flaw of this fighter is the weapons and the thin armouring. The .00001 C mass driver is only powerful enough to destroy a conventional M1A1 Abrahams tank in two hits. A Star Hornet would require 4 direct hits to be destroyed. The damage absorbing ability is extremely low only being able to be proof against small arms fire but vulnerable to anything heavier (1 30 mm gau-9 gatling round will destroy a Mosquito no problem). When encountering most Grand Alliance forces most Mosquitoes are ripped apart in the opening volley. Only their sheer numbers raise their profile as a credible threat.
