Melee weapons

Weapons Legionnaire have access to when the situation calls for close in fighting. At the least a knife or sword is always carried by a Legionnaire if not the almost ubiquitous Justifier.

Hardlight weapons

By manipulating light into a solid shape these weapons can produce a cutting edge finer then any that could be made using conventional material. Able to slice effortlessly thru almost anything, the only downside is the power hungry nature of these weapons. They can come in a variety of shapes depending on user preference.

Flying guillotine

Using antigrav to control the flight of this weapon the ring is cast over the head of an opponent and then a plane of hardlight is projected to decapitate them. The hardlight wire attaching the guillotine can also be used offensively as well. A very esoteric and tricky weapon to master.

Guard Club

A hardlight rifle as well as a hardlight reinforced cudgel weapon. Used by military police units patrolling bases or important government buildings, this weapon is versatile as it is ceremonial.

Heat weapons

These weapons posses a heated monomolecular edge that is heated to such a high temperature that the target is usually melted or burned severely before the edge has a chance to touch. These weapons are viewed by some to be inhumane but their effectiveness make them almost as popular as hardlight weapons. Their main advantage to hardlight weapons are that they are more energy efficient.

Justifier

This combination heat polearm/ hardlight sword and heat cleaver are usually custom made for a Legionnaire and are passed down for generations in a family. Their almost sacred, ancestral nature make these weapons a common sight on the battlefield. It was this weapon along with the Shrouded version that led to the lost tribes recognizing each other as kin. Using a unique martial arts style, only well trained practitioners can bring out the full potential of this weapon.

Scythe

Using one handle this weapon is a large heat battle axe, using the other handle turns it into a large hardlight claymore. A very esoteric weapon usually used by blademasters, highly trained martial artist/ Legionnaire.

Catch Spear

A spear with a large hollow ring hiding a hardlight blade projector. This ring can be used to first entangle opponents weapons or limbs and then disable them by activating the hardlight projector.

Mega Crusher

A large graviton hammer coupled with a heat battle axe. Slow and cumbersome to use the destructive potential in melee combat can not be denied.

Graviton weapons

Using graviton generators these weapons have their weight significantly reduced when swung but before the moment of impact the weight is then magnified 200 times. The kinetic energy that is then produced is enough to crush the thickest of armor.

Meteor

Used in a rope dart fashion, this weapon can generate very high levels of kinetic energy despite the small size.

Hammer

Has a hardlight back up in case the graviton side fails.
