Mode A
General purpose
Good for most situations
Mode B
Anti-armour Penetrator
Instead of a coherent beam the penetrator was concentrated destruction in the forms of single quick pulses. This allowed for the Brutale to quickly send packets of death to targets instead of singly focusing on one target at a time.
Mode C
Non-linear seekers
Used to target multiple infantry formations, light fighters or light armored vehicles.
General
Complementing its brother unit the Rivale, the faster and more focused Brutale was used as the opening gambit for Gaia Striker operations. Tasked with destroying or softening initial defences and forces for follow up attacks by Rivales which could deliver ordinances or troops. Brutales second mission profile was as an air superiority fighter to keep enemy air forces from harassing Rivales even though Rivales could handle themselves. In many cases Brutale and Rivale could switch roles on the fly and it was this unpredictability and versatility between these two Strikers which synergised into an effective team.
Weapon pods
Optional pods attaching to the bottom of the Brutale. Each weapon pod had a secondary fire mode which added to the Brutale’s versatility. Unlike the Rivale the Brutale’s pods were heavier and more focused on dealing damage.
