History

The Kwan Dao class battlepod was considered at the apex of the equipment available to Neo-soldiers. Unfortunately the Kwan Dao was not only hard to produce but also extremely difficult to pilot both in control and the amount of psychic energy it drained. It was not too uncommon to recover Kwan Daos after battle with the battlepod unharmed but the pilot dead of exhaustion. To alleviate these problems a smaller, easier to produce battlepod was designed.

The Princep class battlepod was the culmination of these efforts and with its introduction Golden hegemony forces had a safer, easier to live with war machine. Though the Kwan Dao would be the apex beast the Princep came in larger packs and could also be crammed into regular carriers which allowed it to have “force thru concentration” with other battlepods. These battlpods added the necessary mettle required for a protracted take everything dimensional war.

Weapons

To deal with the high demands of battle and to conserve as much psychic energy as possible the Princep was equipped with many remotes. Taken from commandeered and reverse engineered Grand Arms technology the remotes gave the princep an impressive all range attack capability. These remotes drained much less energy for their use then other kinds of psychic enchanced weapons. If anti-fortress work was needed the venerable psy boosted cannon was still in place but as an alternative large induction beam cannons which could be boosted psychicly (or not) and mass driver barrage array were suitable substitutes. The beam cannon needed 15 seconds to fully charge if not powered by psychic energy and could fire both a spread and concentrated beam. The mass driver barrage array did not need to charge and had a large ammunition hopper to accommodate bombardment tactics. Rounding out the armamanet were various mass driver, GAM arrays and turrets.

Armour

Covered in thick layers of armour it was also equipped with ERA as well as the usual high end shields. This made the Princep a very hard target to take down. It did not have Kwan Dao levels of protection but came close.

Weakness

With well-trained pilots due to many battles and an extended cold war, great speed and maneuverability the Princep had very few outright weaknesses. Even in the thick of the “war of the ascendants” the Princep would remain at the top of the battlefield wherever it appeared.
