Development history
With the loss of over 99% of the former terran empire, man was on the brink of extinction. Only with the timely development of Grand Arms SDSC was humanity able to push back and start it’s offensive against man’s enemies. However after 1 generation of fighting humanity was at a stalemate. The inner defences of its enemies were vast and new units would have to be developed to counter them. The problem was that while the SDSC could serve as an excellent Armada destroying unit, and the Wunderpanzer could serve the smaller role of fleet destroyer, there was no middle ground unit. Even more frightening was the extensive use of counter destroid units. An SDSC could handle these units but a Wunderpanzer was as good as dead. SDSC were usually tasked with too many task to handle these counter destroid units so many Wunderpanzers would be vulnerable. After a few months a Grand Arms was designed to fill in these requirements. Its name would be Konigpanzer.
Just as the SDSC was designed with an aspect from every Grand Arms unit made, the Konigpanzer was designed with an aspect from every “Panzer” unit made. The main characteristics were the 4 arms taken from Jagdpanzer. The main “big” hands could wield massive melee weapons, which could destroy counter destroid units in one blow. This unit was bristling with weapons and every technique was used to put as many weapons as possible without resorting to using pocket dimensions. Pocket dimensions colloquially known as hammer space could increase the carrying capacity many fold but the manufacturing would be slowed down greatly if hammer space was used liberally. Because the hammer space was only used to store the melee weapons, missiles, Jagerfaust and hip mounted weapons the production time was decreased down to 1 month. This is compared to the SDSC that was 3 months and the Wunderpanzer also at 3 months.
Ranged weapons
Konigpanzer’s main weapon was a large multi-intensity Giga positron cannon. This weapon had multiple weapon settings and could shoot blast from fleet destroying down to space fighter destroying and everything in between. The perfect homing beam launchers mounted all over the body gave the Konigpanzer an unprecedented ability to bombard massive groups of enemies. Each launcher could split its beam into 16 regular strength homing beams. The missile arrays added some physical punch. As they used hammer space they could have multiple reloads that were physically impossible. The kinetic missiles were the usual 200 kg Thor class variety. The hip mounted weaponry could be changed out and the unused weapons stored in hammer space. This provided the Konigpanzer with versatility in most combat situations. The giga positron cannon (#7 in the picture) was a useful multi use weapon with infinite ammo. The long-range rail gun (#8 in the picture) was a good long-range weapon but only had 200 rounds. The kinetic missile array (#9 in the picture) fired larger 300 kg kinetic missiles and had 400 missiles. It was useful for destroying large war machines or small fleets. Lastly the Panzer enforcer could take out a mech in one shot and in melee combat they acted like large blades.
Faust
Like most advance Grand Arm units Konigpanzer mounted multiple faust. The Kampfer faust mounted on the shoulders could be used as long-range energy cannons but when they detached they were even deadlier. They mounted multiple heavy weapons and by themselves could rival the heaviest star fighter and even capital ships in firepower. They had extremely long range targeting sensors and could also function as recon units. The Scorpion faust acted as beam tonfas when attached to the forearms. Detached they acted as good ramming and cutting faust. To round it off they mounted perfect homing beam launchers. Jagerfaust (#5 in the picture) were stored in the hip mounted arrays. This Jagerfaust acted like guided missiles but also mounted a megamachine gun to soften an enemy first. The Panzerfaust (#6 in the picture) were typical faust units but were many times larger then standard units. This meant they had weapons commonly mounted on cap ships. They also mounted massive gravitron generators and could ram and destroy most cap ship with one blow. The Light faust (#4 in the picture) projected a beam field around itself and acted as a flying beam sabers. They moved at incredible speed and could slice up groups of capital ships and mechs in seconds. They could also function as interceptors to stop incoming shots. Lastly two light faust could combine together to form a light spear that could penetrate the toughest armour. The last faust weapons were the small sub arms. Despite their tiny size (relative to Konigpanzer’s body) they possessed a heavy punch. They could be launched at enemies and had a trailing beam wire.
Melee
Panzerblade (#1 in the picture) is a good general use beam blade. It could slice a capital ship in half with ease and most counter destroid units as well. The Warp spasm blade (#2 in the picture) was a multi function melee weapon. It projected beam blades, spun at furious speeds and opened and closed its limbs. It could therefore catch enemies, slice them apart, rip them apart and generally be a very destructive weapon. Destroyer fist (#3 in the picture) was a very devastating close in weapon. They could be used to punch most cap ship into scrap in seconds. The only drawback was that the palm-mounted cannons couldn’t be used.
All of these abilities were rounded off with heavy defensive abilities and the ability to travel at faster then light speeds. Konigpanzer was one of the few Grand Arms units that could do so. This meant that it could appear out of nowhere to support forces and travel to other trouble spots as need be.
