Made to turn the average human into a "multi-purpose combat platform", or in other word gave humans the ability to survive in a variety of hostile alien environments.. This was the base layer all combat troops of the Alliance wore at a minimum, whatever was put on top (reflex frames, assault frames etc..) this layer was always underneath to prepare a soldier's body.
This suit was made with the following enhancements to a base soldier body:
)Reinforcement of limbs to prevent them from breaking or fracturing under combat situations. Smart material strips were placed all along the limbs and when an electrical current was ran thru them they would harden and stiffen. This prevented the more fragile bones of humans from breaking when under stress. A hardier spinal brace in the back prevented spinal trauma.
)Fatigue reduction of 40%. Special shock absorbing springs in the knee joints, a special mechanical exo-skeletal engine on the upper back which stored kinetic energy in springs and slowly released this energy to assist in movements using the back and shoulders and the before mentioned smart material strips which could harden when a tiring position (crouching, squatting etc..) was taken to act as a frame helped in achieving this astounding increase in fatigue reduction.
)Increased carrying capacity by 10-20%. Due in part to above mentioned mechanical assistance the user could carry more then what they could normally carry.
)Protection of vital organs by a hardened chest plate. The chest plate could withstand up to Kabuto assault rifle rounds and was made of Ne0-Carbonium.
)General small arms protection (pistol rounds), abrasion, laceration and impact protection. The sheath of the body suit was made of a combination of a para-aramid (kevlar) coated in super fabric (spray welded micro ceramic plates) with a light gel layer underneath for comfort and to absorb impacts to a degree. Extra hardened Ne0-Cabonium "puck" sliders were attached at points of the human body which would most likely impact when "rag dolled", these included: shoulders, elbows, hips and knees.
)Pressure seal to allow for the suit to be fully sealed against the environment when equipped with the proper support equipment. The seal had to be energized by a sufficient supply of air pressure but when it was the suit could act as a space suit or scuba suit.
)Temperature regulation of the core body temperature due to the gel layer. This layer with the right support equipment could be cooled or heated for a variety of environments. This layer also prevented chaffing or skin irritation.
)General increase of strength by 10%. With the smart material stiffening at the right moments and the release of stored kinetic energy from the exo-skeletal engine an equipped human could strike harder, throw farther, jump higher and sprint faster.
