Arrival Information and Site Policies

(Note: this information is out of date and relates to our previous site. Update soon.)

PC Arrival Information

PCs may arrive at Brantwood at 4 PM or later. As long as the gate at the end of the driveway is open, you may enter the site.

Go down the driveway past the first right turn, and continue on to the Boys’ campus, which is a good way down the road. Players may park in the parking lot or on the right side of the road anywhere up to the “NPC Parking Only” signs. Do not park on the left side of the road; if people are parked on both sides, emergency vehicles would have difficulty getting through in a crisis.

Camp policy does not allow us to drive onto the grass, so please park on the road and unload to your cabin from there.

Players should check in at the infirmary building, which is on the right hand side past the parking lot. We will aim to have check-in open at 8 PM. To expedite check-in, please bring your printed and filled out waiver to your first event. Waivers can be found here.

Once you are checked in, please be in the tavern building (on the left side of the road, directly across from the parking lot) before 10 PM for out-of-game opening. Be ready to for game to start immediately after opening.

If you arrive on site after 10 on Friday, check-in will be closed. Instead, come to monster camp to check in, and announce yourself as a PC at the door.

NPC Arrival Information

NPCs may arrive at Brantwood at 4 PM or later. Please park as noted for PCs, above, though if there is space you may park past the “NPCs only” sign.

On your first event, please bring a filled out waiver to monster camp, and fill out the NPC sign-in sheet. (Please remember to sign out when you leave, as well, particularly if you leave before the end of game.) If you don’t sign in and out, we can’t verify you were there in order to give you CP.

NPC bed space is found in monster camp, and in the new building, which is behind monster camp.

Please be in monster camp, wearing “basic black” generic NPC garb or similar, by 9:30 for NPC briefing.

Also, if you normally PC but are NPCing an event, please remember that knowledge gained while on the NPC side should not be transferred to your PC. We do our best to keep PCs away from spoilers, but it's not always possible.

In Game Areas

The following buildings will be used for player housing:

Belknap

Pentucket

Amoskeag

Statutakee

Naumreag

Monadnock

The tavern, the nature building, and “Hilton” are also in game; Hilton is housing, reserved for the kitchen staff. The buildings labelled Murphy and Winslow on the map are ruins, and you may not enter them without a guide to bring you there, unless a white gate appears on one of the doors. Buildings marked with an “X” on the map are out of play entirely.

The field area by the tavern is also in play, as are the areas between cabins. Do not go into the brush opposite the tavern, as it’s heavily overgrown, and the underbrush hides a cliff drop.-off.

The field by the Kearsarge cabin, and Kearsarge itself, are reserved for modules, and you may not go there without a guide. Players staying in Belknap may cross the field to get into town and back, but should take care not to disrupt any activity going on in that field.

The road behind the tavern, and any areas past it, are out of play. You may enter the road if you need to leave game and access your vehicle during game, but no game activity will take place there, and you may not explore areas past it without a guide.

Brantwood Camp Policies

As noted above, please only park on the right side of the road as you enter, and do not drive on the grass, or past any “no vehicles” signs.

Smoking is allowed only on the paved area by the back door to the kitchen. Smokers must keep this area clean of butts and other trash, or the camp may revoke this and not allow smoking on site at all.

We are allowed to have a fire in the fireplace in the tavern, and the camp provides wood. No open flame is allowed anywhere else on site. The area around Brantwood is a significant fire danger, and as a result the camp management is very strict about this.
