Apprentice Adept

Basic Training: Adept 5 CP

You gain the following four skills. You may only have one Basic Training package.

-Arsenal (Once per battle)

You gain an Arsenal pool of 2 points. You may expend one point from this pool to deliver a packet attack for “2 Damage by [Attack Trait.]” This pool refreshes when you refresh your “per battle” skills. You may only benefit from two Theme skills that increase your Arsenal pool.

-Backup Arsenal (Once per event)

Once per event you may rest for three seconds to refresh your Arsenal pool.

-Power List

You gain access to one Power List of your choice from the Offensive or Open lists, and may expend a Power Use of the appropriate level to use any Power in this list.

-First Circle Power Use (Once per battle, 1 Endurance)

Once per battle you may spend a point of Endurance to use a First Circle power from any list you know.

Armor 4 CP

You gain one point of armor. You may choose to treat this as physical armor, ‘dexterity’ armor, magical protection, or natural armor as appropriate to your character concept. You may focus for one minute to refit this armor.

Arsenal (Once per battle) 2 CP

You gain an Arsenal pool of 2 points. You may expend one point from this pool to deliver a packet attack for “2 Damage by [Attack Trait.]” This pool refreshes when you refresh your “per battle” skills. You may only benefit from two Theme skills that increase your Arsenal pool.

If you have Basic Training: Mage, your Arsenal pool is instead increased by 2.

Heroic First Circle Power Use 1 CP (Once per event)

Once per event you may use a First Circle power from any list you know.

Heroic First Circle Power Use 1 CP (Once per event)

Once per event you may use a First Circle power from any list you know.

Heroic Second Circle Power Use 2 CP (Once per event)

Once per event you may use a Second Circle power from any list you know.

Power List 4 CP

You gain access to one Power List of your choice from the Offensive or Open lists, and may expend a Power Use of the appropriate level to use any Power in this list.

First Circle Power Use 4 CP (Once per battle, 1 Endurance)

Once per battle you may spend a point of Endurance to use a First Circle power from any list you know.

First Circle Power Use 4 CP (Once per battle, 1 Endurance)

Once per battle you may spend a point of Endurance to use a First Circle power from any list you know.

Second Circle Power Use 5 CP (Once per battle, 1 Endurance)

(Requires: First Circle Power Use)

Once per battle you may spend a point of Endurance to use a Second Circle power from any list you know.

Theme (0/2/4/6)

You gain access to one Theme, and may purchase the skills and abilities in it. Your first Theme costs no CP, but there is an increasing cost for each additional one purchased.

Journeyman Adept

Adept’s Pure Channel 2 CP

(Requires: Pure Channel)

You may expend a use of Pure Channel to enhance your Arsenal pool. Instead of enhancing one attack, all attacks remaining in your current Arsenal pool may use a Flavor trait instead of an Attack trait. This effect ends when you refresh your uses of Arsenal by any means.

Armor 4 CP

You gain one point of armor. You may choose to treat this as physical armor, ‘dexterity’ armor, magical protection, or natural armor as appropriate to your character concept. You may focus for one minute to refit this armor.

Improved Arsenal 2 CP

Your Arsenal pool is increased by 2.

Heroic First Circle Power Use 1 CP (Once per event)

Once per event you may use a First Circle power from any list you know.

Heroic Second Circle Power Use 2 CP (Once per event)

Once per event you may use a Second Circle power from any list you know.

Heroic Third Circle Power Use 4 CP (Once per event, 2 Endurance)

(Requires: Second Circle Power Use)

Once per event you may use a Third Circle power from any list you know.

Journeyman’s Recovery 3 CP

When the target of one of your Third Circle powers responds with a defense and does not roleplay the effect of the power, you may rest for five minutes in a safe place to recover the use of that power. Any Endurance cost is still expended.

Potent Offense 5 CP

Your damaging powers that do 3 points of damage or more have their damage increased by 1. This does not stack with any other numerical increase to damage.

Power List 4 CP

You gain access to one Power List of your choice from the Offensive or Open lists, and may expend a Power Use of the appropriate level to use any Power in this list.

First Circle Power Use 4 CP (Once per battle, 1 Endurance)

Once per battle you may spend a point of Endurance to use a First Circle power from any list you know.

Second Circle Power Use 5 CP (Once per battle, 1 Endurance)

(Requires: First Circle Power Use)

Once per battle you may spend a point of Endurance to use a Second Circle power from any list you know.

Rapid Fire 2 CP (Once per event)

Add “Double” to the effect call of a single use of a Power with a non-beneficial effect.

Refresh Arsenal 3 CP (Once per battle)

Once per battle you may rest for one minute to refresh your Arsenal pool.

Tactician 3 CP

Three times per battle, when the target of one of your attacks responds with a “No effect” or “Spirit” defense, your attack and any associated endurance costs are not expended.

Theme (0/2/4/6)

You gain access to one Theme, and may purchase the skills and abilities in it. Your first Theme costs no CP, but there is an increasing cost for each additional one purchased.

Toughness 4 CP

You gain one point of Vitality.

Journeyman's Perfection [Epic]

Requires: Journeyman's Recovery

Once per battle, when one of your Third Circle Powers does not hit any target, you may use Journeyman's Recovery to recover the Power Use. In addition, once per event you may use Journeyman's Recovery to recover an expended Third Circle Power Use, if you see the target of that power use a Purge defense to ends its effects prematurely.

Transcendent Channel [Epic]

When you learn this skill, choose one Flavor Trait you have access to. You may replace the Attack Trait of any of your Arsenal attacks with this Flavor Trait. This is an exception to the normal rules that Flavor Traits cannot be used for attacks.

Unbreakable Focus [Epic]

When you are hit with a Silence effect, call "Reduce." You may use Powers while under the Silence effect. (If you are required to perform incantations to satisfy your Method, you may do so, but you may not speak otherwise.) This skill costs no Endurance, and you may use it as often as you wish.

Warding 5 CP (Once per battle, 1 endurance, )

Call “Avoid” or “Resist” to negate a single missile, packet, or firearms attack.

Master Adept

Effortless First Circle Power 5 CP

Your first use of a First Circle power in each battle costs no Endurance. (Grant effects always cost Endurance, and cannot benefit from this skill.)
