"Old Krey? I heard he used to just be a farmer. Yeah, just your garden variety--excuse the pun--Talking Badger, pretty happy to hoe his fields and raise his crops.

"Well, until They came, and he lost it all. I hear he flew into a rage, drank himself into a stupor, and woke up signed on as a soldier. It became his life, and eventually he saved up enough to get some Kudarr tech to make himself even more effective. Now, he's a killing machine. Doesn't even need a chirurgeon, just takes a hit, gets back up, and keeps going.

"I guess breathing that weird smoke to survive doesn't much bother him. Me? Kinda gives me the willies, to be truthful..."

Augmented Skills:

Vaprous Augments 0 CP

You gain Fire, Crystal, Web, and Radiation as attack traits, Weapon as an attack trait for melee and missile attacks, and Technology, Ammo, and Nannites as flavor traits.

Tame Vapour 2 CP

You may use powers with a natural weapon or nanoblade in your off hand. Blocking attacks will cause spell interruption as though you had been struck.

Inhaled Refreshment 2 CP

(Requires 3 skills in this theme.)

Up to three times per event, you may consume a black or white Vapour component to Refresh five points of Endurance.

Living Vapour 5 CP

(Requires 3 skills in this theme.)

Your heal effects with a value of 3 or higher are increased by 1. This does not stack with any other numerical increase to healing values, though it is compatible with the Warrior skill “Healer’s Best Friend.”

Regeneration 4 CP

(Requires 3 skills in this theme.)

For each minute you spend resting, you heal one point of Vitality. This skill does not work if you are unconscious or cannot use game skills.

Altered Metabolism 5 CP

(Requires 5 skills in this theme.)

Call “Shield” to the first attack that strikes you that has a Metabolic trait. You may refresh this ability with one minute of rest.

Augmented Strikes 5 CP

(Requires 5 skills in this theme.)

Your damage with melee attacks that do more than 2 damage is increased by 1. This skill does not stack with other numeric increases to weapon damage.

Nannite Attack 5 CP (Once per battle)

(Requires 5 skills in this theme.)

When you take this skill, choose melee, firearms, missile, or packet. Gain an attack of that type for “4 damage by [attack trait.]”

Augmented Regeneration [Epic]

(Requires: Regeneration)

Your Regeneration skill works when you are unconscious, or unable to use game skills, but not when you are unstable.

Regenerative Nanoarmor [Epic]

You may refit your armor points with one minute’s rest, as opposed to focus.

Augmented Disadvantages

Disrupted Nanites

Your augmentations are not entirely stable. If you are struck with a non-beneficial effect “by Lightning” or “by Radiation,” your augmentations seize briefly, causing you an Agony in addition to the normal effect. Attacks to the room or by voice are not focussed enough to cause this effect.

Outsider

Your augmentations are flawed or severe enough that you feel distant from other Folk, and have trouble empathizing with them. You have the Cold Hearted trait. (Note that you still cannot perform Deathstrikes unless you have an appropriate skill.) In addition, you must always have at least one Dark or Wicked Quality, and you must use a Dark or Wicked Quality in any Racial or Augmented skills that call for a Quality in their verbal.

Obligate Vapour Diet

(Requires Special Diet)

Your Special Diet consists of Vapour components, which you need to consume in order to sustain your augmentations. You may not use normal food tags to pay for maintenance, and if you use Red, Green, or Blue Vapour components for maintenance, you need four rather than three to equal one food tag.
