Prayer: Dear God, John the Baptist had to do some unusual things to serve you. Please help me get ready to do the things you want me to do.
Book: 100 Illustrated Devotions for Children by Rick Warren
Watch & Learn: Review our phonics and high frequency word instruction for this week with Mrs. Brzeinski!
Practice: Read our High Frequency Word reader Who Can Help? 2 times aloud to a grown up or sibling.
Dictation Routine: Your child will need a pencil and paper or maker and marker board. Have your child watch the video, sound out the words, and practice writing the words in the video. Be sure to take a picture of the words once they are written, as this is a required assignment for this week!
May Do: Choose one or two of the leveled readers to practice with below. These get harder with each book, so try the first two, and then the last one is the most advanced if you would like to give it a whirl!
Practice writing the sight words with a white crayon. Scribble over the words with a marker. Make sure you include this week's new words: who, good, come, does.
To play the game, have your child find pairs of sticky notes that equal ten and put them together in the circle. They may have a six and a four. Or, they may have a one and a nine. Keep going until all the sticky notes are matched up and in the center. Directions are included in the video.
