2. Reread story on pg. 391 marking the story where you find cause and effect.
Example on pg. 391 last paragraph - "Once a fossil fuel is gone it is gone forever... scientists know that there is no other way to keep our country going and growing. So they are looking for new, alternative sources of energy..." Scientists know fossil fuels won't last forever so the EFFECT of that is they are looking for new and alternative resources.
3. Share 3 cause and effects you found with someone in your home.
4. Read story that starts on pg. 456 in your big reading book.

Today you will begin revising your finished draft. Revising is important to help make your story even better! Be sure you use green to REVISE.
1. Watch the videos about revising your story.
2. Read your whole story out loud to yourself.
3. Think about it from a reader's point of view. Is it interesting? Does it make sense?
4. Using your green colored pencil or crayon, revise your story.
5. Check the writing rubric to see if your writing is on track!
Tomorrow you will edit your story and then begin writing your final copy!
