Our essential question this week is this: How can things in nature be used to make new things? Tell mom or dad (or whoever is helping you with your at home learning) at least two things that you can think of that are made from something in nature. God has made amazing resources in nature for His children to use!
Watch to learn the two new vocabulary words (natural resources and create) you need to know before reading/watching Bread Comes to Life. Be ready to practice these two words and use them in sentences this week! Both of these words relate to our Essential Question for this week: How can things in nature be used to make new things?
Strategy: Monitor & Clarify or Reread: Remember that good readers reread to help themselves understand. Something might not make sense as you read, but reading again can help the story events be clear. Sometimes you might even need to reread pages earlier in the story.
Skill: Sequence of Events: As a reminder, things in fiction and nonfiction texts occur in a particular order that helps the reader make sense of the information. This is called the sequence of events.
Print and complete the sentences.
