Watch & Learn: Review our phonics and high frequency word instruction for this week with Mrs. Brzeinski!
Practice: Read our High Frequency Word reader Jim and Kit 2 times aloud to a grown up or sibling. After completing the second read, choose two new activities from your Sight Word mat for today! Don't forget to color in the boxes as you complete the challenges! The words we are specifically reviewing this week are: for, have, they, of, said, want, here, me, this, what. If you want to practice all the sight words we know so far, that's great too!
May Do: Choose one or two of the leveled readers to practice with below. These get harder with each book, so try the first two, and then the last one is the most advanced if you would like to give it a whirl!
Try to recognize your 5 vocab words from this week while listening to this story!
Watch and create!
See directions above!
3. Get to work: Write an opinion story defending why you think it's a duck or a rabbit. Your story MUST include 2 reasons why, and you must use the proper mechanics for good writers: capitals, spaces, and punctuation! You can do it kindergarten!
Give 2 reasons WHY you think it's a duck or a rabbit! Defend you opinion. Remember the rules for writing; capitals, spaces and punctuation!
Read the story. Cut and paste the pictures to show the order of events.
Pick an challenge (or TWO!) each day, and complete it! Track your progress through the challenges by coloring in each box with a different color. See if you can fill up the mat by the end of the week!
