What I show you on the whiteboard in this video I refer to as a "graphic organizer" in your instructions.
1. Start on pg. 387 in your small reading book.
2. Then watch the lesson to the side.
3. Use notebook paper to make your own graphic organizers on 3 different vocabulary words from the lesson.
4. Complete pg. 241 in your practice book (soft book). Make sure you are finishing the sentence using the vocabulary word it gives you. Example for pg. 241: 1. We are going over to our friend's house... to eat a traditional meal.
5. Read story that starts on pg. 391 in your small reading book.

1. Print off grammar pages attached above (if you can not print please copy down questions and answers on another piece of paper)
2. Watch video to the side for grammar lesson
3. Complete pg. 121 ONLY

Bonus/Optional: At the bottom of the page in the "May do's" you will find a novel study choice board. Pick out a chapter book that fits your reading level. Read for 20-30+ minutes or a few chapters and then complete one of the board options.

Last week you began working on your draft for your imaginative narrative.
Today you will work on finishing your draft.
1. Watch the video on how to write a strong closing.
2. Watch the read-aloud video featuring "The Adventures of Beekle- The Unimaginary Friend"! This is an example of an imaginative narrative where the character has a problem and finds a solution.
2. Finish writing your draft and be sure you include how your character solved the problem!
Tomorrow you will begin revising, and editing. Don't forget, you should be skipping lines on your notebook paper when writing your draft!

Find a good chapter book!
1. Read your chapter book for 30 minutes+.
2. Print off the above Novel Study Choice Boards (there are 2 to choose from).
3. After you read, pick one of the boxes on a choice board and do activity. Color in the box when done so you can choose a new box next time!
