- Practice: As you watch, listen for Mrs. Colburn to stop and ask you for your predictions. Share your ideas with mom or dad and then continue watching. Check to see if your predictions match the story! Read the I Can Read stories below. Reading text multiple times helps with fluency (the ability to read smoothly and automatically).
- May Do: Read for 20 minutes or do Lexia for 15 minutes.

- Watch & Learn: Students will watch Mrs. Colburn's greater than and less than mini-lesson (featuring a pop-in entrance by Mrs. Green!). This is a review of what we have already practiced in class together this year!
- Practice: Grab a deck of cards and place them face down on the table in front of you! Take two from the deck and decide which one is the bigger number (Greater Than!). Place the number that is greater than in a stack and discard the one that is the smaller number (Less Than!). Repeat this activity 10 times. Return all the cards to the deck and shuffle them (or have a grown up shuffle them for you!) Complete this activity a second time placing the cards that have the smaller number (Less Than!) in a stack and discarding the one that has the larger number (Greater Than!) (Note: if you get a card that has a face on it, set it aside and take another card from the deck to replace it!)
- May do: Strengthen addition and subtraction using a tool of choice:
- Hands on: Using a deck of cards, pull two cards and add. Repeat 15+ times.
- Online game via ABCya: Roll to the Finish

- Watch & Learn: This week we are continuing to learn how to be opinion story writers- “We are Opinionators!” Listen to the story "In My Opinion" below.
- Practice: Practice forming your own opinion about the following questions. Share your opinion with mom, dad, or a sibling.
a. Which animal do you like better, a fox or a monkey? Why?
b. Which food do you think is tastier, mac 'n cheese or peanut butter & jelly? Why?
c. Where would you rather visit, the ocean or a rain forest? Why?
3. Get to work: Check out Mrs. Martin's example of the season she thinks is the best. Pick one of the questions above to write your own story. Or, be creative and give your opinion on another topic of your choice!
