Your Turn: Reread the Nice Mitten (Wonders little red book, unit 3). The story begins on page 54! By now, you should be reading most words without sounding them out!

Practice: Select one of the following activities to continue building reading fluency:

Log into Lexia for 15+ minutes.
Reread stories from our Wonders books for 15+ minutes.
Practice your high frequency words. Idea of the day: Build a word maze around your home and see how far you can make it without a making a mistake.

Practice:

Word hunt! How many "ou" and "ow" words can you find in Now, What's that Sound? Make a list of all the words you see!

Go to Spelling City, click on "ou and ow words" list. Play games.
Write out with coloring tools, sidewalk chalk, or other fun supplies!
Build with magnetic letters or other letters you may have at home!
Write sentences using one or more words that have "ou" or "ow".

Watch & Learn: Solve different types of compare story problems. Students will practice using the tool of compare bars to solve compare problems along with Mrs. Coles in the lesson video below.

You will need:
- Paper and pencil
- Comparison bar template (optional)

Practice: After watching the video lesson, solve the problems from Math Expressions activity book pg. 187-188.
- If you need extra help solving compare story problems, watch the Extra Help video for additional guidance.
- Take a picture of the complete activity pg. 187-188 and submit through the google form available below.

Writing

Watch & Learn: Mrs. Neidigh turns her realistic fiction plans into a draft. Notice how she adds more details to each section and spreads her story out across several pages.
Practice: Create the draft for your realistic fiction story! Write sentences to describe each section of your story plan. You should have five parts of your story to match the five sections of your story plan. Feel free to print out student drafting paper, or use lined notebook paper you already have at home. Leave room for illustrations!
