- Watch & Learn: The story for this week is When Daddy's Truck Picks Me Up. Share this title with your student and ask them to predict what they think the story will be about. Click on the video and watch/listen for enjoyment. Students, be sure to listen and find out if your predictions were correct! Go through the story a second time and as you listen, give mom or dad (or even your favorite stuffie!) a thumbs up when you hear this week’s high frequency words HERE and ME. During the second read, try to identify the characters and the setting of the story.
- Practice: Make two new flash cards with this week's high frequency words. Spell and read each word 3 times, and then try using it in a sentence.

- Watch & Learn: Students will practice representing partners of 10 by using fingers, and other manipulative materials they have available at home such as legos, toy cars, crayons, etc. Review partners of 10 with Jack Hartman in his video below. Students, try to fill in the missing partner before he tells you the answer!
- Practice: Use legos or other manipulatives you have at home to build and show 5 different ways to “make ten”. For example, 3 red legos and 7 blue legos make 10 legos. Illustrate one of the ways you chose to build partners of ten!
- May do: Use Zearn/ST math (Whichever your teacher uses) for 15 minutes.
