***Attention Mrs. Howell's class!! You will not be doing the writing lessons this week. Instead, please wait for instructions from your teacher about doing your Beautiful Work project! (All other classes will do the following writing lessons as usual.)
April is National Poetry Month! We have written poetry in class before, so this should be a fun review and good practice with writing more poems!
1. Watch the video about Shape Poems.
2. Watch the second video showing you an example of how to create a shape poem.
3. Now you will write your own shape poem on a piece of notebook paper. Write as many as you want!
Screencastify video taping was not my friend this week. When I previewed it, the picture was frozen. Maybe it will work for you. If not, the sound works fine, so listen along. I have attached pictures of things I was talking about to help you. It also cuts off before I’m finished talking, but you’ll get the main idea.
