Time for all of your PE creativity to come out now! So many of you have always asked or told me “Mr. Conrad can we play this game?!” or “Mr. Conrad I know this game, it is so fun can I tell you about it?!”
Well this is your chance! I am giving you a chance to create your own PE game this week! We will then do some of these activities next year in Physical Education class.
Here are your directions.
1-The activity/game MUST have a grade level and purpose/focus. What skills are we working on? Throwing, running, chasing, kicking, etc...? You must tell me.
2-Equipment needed? What kind of equipment do we need and how much?
3-Directions! This is VERY important. The directions of the game need to be clear and easy to understand so everyone can understand how to be successful at your activity.
4-Assessment. How will we know if we are successful at your activity?
You can send me a video of you explaining/demonstrating the game/activity along with a document with all the guidelines filled out or you can just send me your lesson plan. I will choose 1 lesson for each grade and we will do this lesson next year!
Be sure to watch all our Cougar Fit Challenges this week for a SPECIAL GUEST!!!!
Hello RCS!!
Mrs. Ritzer and Mrs. Magruder are so excited to have a combined art and music lesson this week! Today we will be learning about an artist named Keith Haring and how movement and rhythm were his basis for his art pieces. There are 3 slides on today's lesson so be sure you click on them all. The lesson today will be more focused on music so the only supplies you will need is someone who can take pictures of the dance moves you create. You will be using these pictures for the second part of the lesson tomorrow. We are excited to see the videos of the dances you make. Please send them Mrs. Ritzer and Mrs. Magruder.
Have fun!!
Hello RCS friends!! Today is part 2 of our Keith Haring movement and art lesson! It is so good for you to get up and move throughout the day. We hope you had fun dancing and moving yesterday!
Today you will be creating your art on either a paper or the sidewalk. The supplies you will need are:
In the slideshow there are 4 slides to click through. Please make sure to watch both videos on slide 1!
You can upload artwork to your artsonia portfolio or e-mail your artwork to Mrs. Ritzer and Mrs. Magruder.
Love you all!
Hello RCS! We find ourselves in the middle of a famine in Genesis. We will join Joseph today as his brothers come to Egypt to get food for their family. We will learn about responding in integrity and repaying wrong with right as we study Joseph’s response to his brothers.

Dear RCS Family, and especially the Students from Mrs. Fletcher's Second Grade Class!
Hello to all of you! Thank you once again for all that you did to help bring Pascal home! Do you remember how all of the second graders chose "Pascal" for the Heartwork Project that year? Do you remember praying for him, and making posters? Do you remember all of those "Pastries for Pascal" mornings where donuts were sold on his behalf? Over $1,200 was sent directly to his adoption agency! Many of you prayed for Ben and Aubrie and Bellamy as they awaited the day when they would be able to travel to pick Pascal up! It seemed as if that day would never come, but finally, they received the good news!
As a preface to watching this 10 minute video, here is what you need to know. Ben and Aubrie left at the end of October 2019 and traveled to Conakry, Guinea, West Africa. They were able to stay at the only western hotel as they waited to meet Pascal, and then stayed an additional week as they adjusted to becoming a new family. He had never been on an elevator nor had he seen a swimming pool. Right before they were to leave Guinea, the orphanage where he had lived since his first birthday had a send-off for him so that he was able to say goodbye to his friends and caregivers. This was such a touching moment for Ben and Aubrie, and they are forever grateful for the loving care he received, even in such a difficult environment. With his passport in hand, they were able to fly to Dakar, Senegal, and stayed there for several days while they awaited his visa. Then at last, they make their way home from Dakar, Paris, Detroit and finally Denver!
He has adjusted better than expected and has made leaps and bounds with learning English. He and Bellamy have become great friends, and he is a loving boy to his mom, dad, grandparents. aunts, uncles, and cousins. He sings and dances to songs about Jesus, and we are so thankful that the Lord has allowed all of us to be his family.
Without your help, RCS, this would have been much more difficult! Your hard work and prayers have been greatly appreciated! I love you people, and the Fletchers all thank you from the bottom of our hearts! God is SO GOOD!!
I love and miss each of you! Thank you again! I hope you enjoy the video--be sure to watch it to the end!

Hey 5th graders! I would like you to check out a special opportunity to serve the world by connecting with missionaries Mr. and Mrs. (Andres and Kayla) Barreto in Columbia. If this speaks to your heart, be sure to watch the short videos down below in the Bible section today.
