Prayer: Lord, it helps to know that you are watching over me everywhere I go. I'm glad I don't have to be afraid.
100 Illustrated Devotions for Children by Rick Warren
1. Watch and Learn: Dictation Routine: Your child will need a pencil and paper or maker and marker board. Have your child watch the video, sound out the words, and practice writing the words in the video. Be sure to take a picture of the words once they are written, as this is a required assignment for this week!
2. Practice: Revisit our Decodable Text for this week: We Can Play! Read it through twice - to a grown up, a sibling, or even a stuffed animal. Remember, revisiting texts you have already read helps to build fluency in your reading!
3. May Do: Choose one or two of the leveled readers to practice with below. These get harder with each book, so try the first two, and then the last one is the most advanced if you would like to give it a whirl! Reading text multiple times helps with fluency (the ability to read smoothly and automatically).
Review our comprehension strategies and skills for the week with Big Tex before listening to Team Up to Clean Up.
Watch & Learn: The story for today is Team Up to Clean Up. Click on the video and watch/listen for enjoyment.
Practice: Ask and answer questions with Mrs. Green's sub as he shares the story. Be sure to listen and learn how the children in the story are being good citizens!
May Do: Draw a picture or make a list of ways that YOU can be a good citizen!
1. Watch & Learn: Students will watch and review all the coin names and their values that we have learned this week with Pirate Pete!
2. Practice: Print and complete the penny worksheet. Have your student pick a color, find the coin that matches the one at the top of the activity page, and color in the coin. Color all the coins that match the penny above.

2. Check your work: Use the rubric and check your work. Fill in the rubric and make any corrections you need for your writing today. Remember that both of these writing parts will be turned in to your teacher this week!
3. Share: Teach someone in your family and share your "How to Story."
Supplies: Paper, gray paper or a gray marker, cotton balls, scissors, and glue!
Directions: Water color or paint the white paper and let it dry. Cut triangles out of the gray paper/colored paper, and glue onto the painted paper. Last, glue the cotton balls onto the top of the mountain! Have Fun!
