Your Turn: In the small red book read the story, Now, What's That Sound? Use the table of contents to find the page number. As you read, ask yourself questions and see if you can identify a problem and how it's solved in the story.

Encourage your student to solve compare story problems by drawing their own or using the comparison bar template.
Thumbs up: My illustrations match the words. I used bold colors, lots of detail, and added labels to my illustrations.
Thumbs sideways: My pictures make sense, but they don't have a lot of detail or color. I only have 1-2 labels.
Thumbs down: My illustrations are not my best work. They are sloppy and scribbled. I didn't add any labels, either.
