CALCULATING VOLUME
3D (Three-dimensional) Calculations
These posters will help you remember the area formulae for common 'plane shapes'.
Volume is a 3D property of shapes. It helps us understand how large something is in spatial terms
Consider a person sending a package via Vinted™.
a) How do they know what size box to send it in?
b) How do they know if the box will fit inside the pickup locker?
They could calculate the volume of the object they are sending and compare it with similar boxes of a similar 'capacity'.
