Strip heaters / line benders are available as a 'floating' resource to be used between classrooms but are generally confined to classroom 1G2.
They present a serious burn hazard and must be used under supervision. It is essential that they are not left unattended and are switched off both locally and at the wall after use.
As with all tools and equipment used by pupils, they are expected to observe a practical demonstration for safe operation and good practice before being authorised to use the tool themselves.

Whilst this process cannot be carried out using a strip heater (as the strip heater only heats a localised area in a straight line of the material) this is a nice video showing what can be done with moulds and formers when the whole thermoplastic material is heated.
