This is the title page of my sketchbook, and it's a scaled-up drawing of my own fingerprint. Inside the fingerprint are different styles and ways of printing different things that I like such as my favorite food, my favorite color, my favorite type of animal, a hobby I like, etc.
I inserted color in this artwork on certain words that I felt needed color and words that were special.
These next 3 artworks are different pages in my sketchbook that I feel
were the most important to me.
Pencil Techniques
Charcoal Snoopy
Western Pen Art
These next 5 projects are major artworks that I've worked on
throughout this past year.
Charcoal
This artwork was a charcoal interpretation of a canyon with a mountain in the middle to represent an eye.
Paint
This artwork is an unfinished artwork which is a shoe-my shoe specifically-as the Millennium Falcon flying through space.
Different Types of Pencils
In this drawing, I sought out to recreate the coffee bar at my school using a squiggly, "random" shading technique. I learned how to make better values by using different shading techniques.
Prismacolors, Paper, Pens, & Scissors
This artwork was a collage with a bunch of different elements such as a cut out of a pair of scissors as an island, my hand with a spatula, magical perfume, etc. In this project, I learned how to use different elements of drawing to draw a viewer's eye.
Charcoal
My goal for this project was to basically draw a portrait of myself and incorporate extreme values and lots of detail. In this drawing, I learned how to use charcoal to create values and how to create realistic features on a drawing.
