This is my title page in my sketchbook where we used our fingerprint and added images or words that appeal to us and our personality. This artwork shows many things that I enjoy doing or learning about in my everyday life.
The images below are from my sketchbook and show some technique sheets that we worked on in class and a color wheel made out of acrylic paint. The two technique sheets you see are made from acrylic paint and charcoal pencils.
CHARCOAL
The goal of this project was to create a self portrait made from charcoal and be able to add the necessary values I saw on myself. I learned that charcoal can be very forgiving but also very complicated
ACRYLIC PAINT
The goal of this project was to sketch shoes and then use acrylic paint to color them in and learn how to add value using paint. I learned that painting is much harder than how I viewed it before and is much less forgiving than other materials.
CHARCOAL
For this project the goal was to sketch multiple "western heritage" drawings and choose one to draw with charcoal. I learned that charcoal was much harder to use in this project because I had to learn how to draw wood patterns on a table, and put values in a rope.
GRAPHITE
In this project the goal was to sketch and shade multiple objects that were set in the middle of the table. I learned that charcoal can come in different shades and forms, even in charcoal pencils!
