The students come with experiences in a variety of drawing and painting mediums. The goal of the course is to challenge them to take their techniques and unique experiences and create meaning making in their work. Students are creating around themes that challenge them to go beyond observation.

Students in advanced are given opportunities to submit their artwork to various art competitions throughout the school year. These art competitions could be on campus, in the Houston area or throughout the country.
