This sketch shows me in it by the word choice and the colors. I love color and its varieties so I added those to my drawing. The words/images are places, shows, foods, things, and people that I love.
I chose the pages below because they show my progress as an artist and the ways I grew with different techniques and medias.
Prismacolors
(Floating Beads)
My goal for this artwork was to get the beads as lifelike as I could. I learned how to correctly use Prismacolors and complementary colors to add shadows and depth. Through this artwork, I also learned which colors go together and which don't.
Charcoal and Paint
(Striped Chicken)
My goal for this artwork was to capture the kind of old rustic looks of the west or farm life and to get the chicken looking as real as I could. One thing I learned was how to use charcoal and how to use the different pencils to add shadows and important values. I also learned how to use the brush to get a certain look, as if the grass was real.
My goal for this artwork was to create a sort of center of attention for it, to have all of the lines kind of connect everything and make the roses pop.
My goal for this sketch was to shows how shadows change depending on how much light is shown on an object. I learned to work with making depth within the shadows and making things pop using darkness and light.
