Line Sculpture-

In my artwork, I see a lot of designs based on nature. I used a lot of floral designs and tried to create a sun and moon zentangle on each side of the sculpture. I tended to use a lot of curved lines, and not that many zigzag lines. To fill in my white space I used a lot of dotted patterns as well. In my artwork, I see a lot of designs inspired by nature. The lines are used to show the flow of the patterns between the different floral designs. The shapes are working together to show the beauty of nature and the flow of different patterns throughout the piece. The viewer’s eye should start in the center of the pattern and gradually move out following the designs and the patterns. In this artwork, it is exemplifying the beauty of nature. I see the blooming of different flowers within the light of the sun. This artwork makes me feel joyful knowing that the same God that created the flowers and the trees created me. I created this piece to show how beautiful this world, and the beauty of God’s creation. I love the message of this piece of art, but I do not believe I created the best image of this piece. I like the floral designs within the different patterns of this piece. I think I created a good flow between the different patterns, but I think I need to improve on a more diverse spectrum of designs. I would change the way I chose to arrange the different pieces of artwork.

Organic Coil Pot-

In my organic coil pot, I see pentagons and different sized-shapes of bees. I see different textures being displayed, as well as depths of various line texture. The scene being displayed is bees in their honeycomb nest. In this piece, there is not a variety of colors being displayed, just the different colors and textures of the clay being used. From what I have observed, there are not any unknown objects, but the top of the sculpture is different shapes and to various eyes, it could be interpreted differently. The lines throughout this piece show the portrayal of the honeycomb and the bees. The shapes interact to form a depict picture of nature shown throughout this piece. The different textures show the different lines and shapes interacting with one another. Some lines are deeper than others and show the grain of the clay. The focal point of this art piece was the honeycomb, and as you observe this piece you should see the interaction of the bees and the honeycomb. This art piece makes me feel a sense of peace. Seeing nature, such as beautiful bees and their sweet honey brings me a sense of tranquility. The most important part of this piece is the honeycomb. Personally, I feel that the craftsmanship of the bees is not very well done; it could have been better. I believe the artist created this piece to show the beauty of God’s creation, and how He created everything for a purpose. I like this art piece, but I do believe that the artist could have done a better job of portraying the artwork. Personally, I believe the best thing about this art piece is the interaction between the honeycomb and the bees. I like the various textures of the pot and the way the artwork flows throughout the sculpture. I think the worst thing about this art piece is the craftsmanship. The artist could have done a better job of forming the bees and clay and not have left some areas of the pot so rigid. If I were the artist I would add some more details to the pot, such as honey coming out of the pot adding more texture to the honeycomb.
