Animal Mug: My goal in this project was to make a realistic looking cat that looked similar to my cat and the mug I was looking at. I believe I was very successful in reaching my goal. I feel like my mug really looks like my cat and it looks similar to the mug I was looking at for inspiration. This artwork definitely helped me to reach my goals. I learned that if I put my mind to something and put in the effort that I can make something I am proud of.
Line Sculpture: I do really like my artwork, I really like the shape and designs I did. The shape is different allowing me to be more creative. It also makes it very interesting to look at. The designs I made, I really liked because they show how creative I am and they show movement. They also all tie in together to make a bigger picture. I honestly don’t think I would change anything, I love how complicated the shape is and each design. Overall I really enjoyed doing this project. I would rate my work a 3.5 out of 4, because of the little glue pieces, but overall I really liked how it turned out.
Coil Pot: I really like my pot, I think it is very beautiful and I love how the flowers and spheres that swirl around the pot that carry your eye. I think the best part of this peace is the pot’s unique shape. I love how it isn’t a perfect shape and shows movement even though the pot will be put through the kiln and hardened. To be completely honest I don’t really hate anything about my pot, if I had to pick something it would be that the clay had some small rocks that were poking out that I wish weren’t. If I could go back and change anything, I would have picked brighter colors so it did not look muddy. Overall, I really enjoyed making this piece.
