Every fingerprint is different, the words in this artwork not only form the lines of my fingerprint, but also represent the different things that make me who I am. Then the vines overlapping and running into each other looked, to me, like how the lines on my finger overlap each other.
I chose the pictures below because these were my favorite artworks to create and took me outside of my comfort zone.
Graphite Pencils
I learned about the basics of shading and value through this artwork. My goal for this artwork was to try to make the objects look as realistic as possible.
Acrylic Paint
My goal for this artwork was to make all of these different color shoes look cohesive with each other. I also learned that small details require an even smaller paint brush.
Graphite Pencils
This artwork gave me a good lesson in drawing what you see and not what you know, especially in the arc that separates the cabinet from the next room. By the end, my ultimate goal was to make everything look proportional and some what realistic.
Prismacolor Color Pencils
From this artwork, I learned how to shade with color pencils. My goal for this artwork was to be able to apply shading/value, and make the beads and ribbons look three dimensional.
