For my title page, I tried to use a lot of colors, especially bright ones to express myself. I also implemented words into my fingerprint which I thought best described my personality, the way I act, and the choices I make.
The images below are quick drawings and techniques learned and drawn in class. Each picture shows a different drawing from class, the square and bed was part of a warmup, the charcoal drawing was the class' first time using charcoal so we needed to learn how charcoal works and how to use charcoal to show texture. Finally, the abstract drawing was an imaginative idea and I tried to use random colors to make it as abstract and as random as possible.
Charcoal
The goal of this project was to use techniques we learned in class for portraits and for charcoal, combine them and make a self-portrait.
Something I learned from this project was making self-portraits are a lot harder than they look.
Paper, Prismacolor, Pen, Highlighter, Sharpie, Markers
The goal of this project was to experiment with drawing random objects using different drawing techniques.
Something I learned from this project was that color is very important and can determine what your focal point.
Charcoal
The goal of this project was to create a western themed drawing from our imagination using only charcoal.
Something I learned from this project was sometimes you have to adapt and change your idea to make it look better.
Graphite
The goal of this project was to use different texture techniques to create a perspective with shadows.
Something I learned from this project was lines help create texture, especially on different materials.
