A Hearty Meal

Tube Watercolors

I greatly enjoyed working on this Western Heritage piece for the rodeo. I was able to overcome issues that included proportions and watercolors to produce a piece I am satisfied with.

Rodeo Art

Graphite Pencils

These were ideas and concepts that I drew in order to fully realize and depict what I wanted for my final rodeo piece.

Founder's Tree

Mixed Media

My big idea for this piece was to symbolize the sentimental, symbolic, and architectural importance of the tree. All the buildings surround and point towards the tree. This tree symbolizes my new beginnings at Houston Christian.

Cowerer in the Spotlight

Relief Printmaking

I wanted to show how the eyes of others can make someone anxious and how being in the spotlight can be scary. In the print, you can see the people around the light seem indifferent, most of the time when we feel we are in the spotlight and are being judged our peers are more often looking elsewhere than focusing their judgment on us.

The Innards of a Shell

Mixed Media

I wanted to be able to show parts of myself that are inspired by a specific memory in my life. In this piece, you can see a shell, the ocean, flowers, and other symbols that are representative of memories and experiences that make me who I am today.

Christmas Art

Colored Pencils

The Significance of a Mess

Collage Material

A mess that has come together. Incorporations of green, red, and yellow. It has detailed and abstract pieces allowing the different parts of the composition to talk to each other and come together.

Portraits and the Human Figure

Mixed Media/Collage Material

Printmaking and Anatomy Studies

Relief Printmaking

Anatomy exercise where we really dove deep into the anatomy of a person and how it interacts with colors and shapes. We were able to use different materials for this project such as printmaking (left) and sketching with a pen (right).
