The title page of my sketchbook is just a preview of what I like and what my personality is like. The words include some of my passions as well as colors and different fonts, showing that my hobbies range from fine arts and sports, as well as my favorite colors.
I chose these three pages because they were all experimental or flawed in my eyes at the time, I made it one of my lifetime goals in my art career to have variety and diversity, and to never stick to one "style".
Losing Grasp of Reality
The lines are very prominent and stand out in the piece because of the various times it was used. Using various materials such as BIC pens and highlighters, I wanted to create a harmony with chaos.
Up Close and Personal
My artwork reflects the era of the "old west" by portraying animals commonly found in the west. The animals show the kind nature that the era reflects. I used charcoal for this piece, and I am proud of it.
The "Lace" Against Time
This acrylic painting was made with the intent of having shoes from different perspectives as well as fitting the monochromatic color scheme for each shoe. I wanted each shoe to add contrast to the darker, yet detailed background.
Perspectives From A Corner
Inspired by our very own fine arts building, the class was assigned to use graphite to replicate a part of the fine arts building. I decided to use overlapping in my piece. I used overlapping for the trash can over the tiles.
