Welcome to my virtual portfolio!
Originally, I was going to use oil pastels, but then I changed my mind and used acrylic paint instead.

Before, I was going to do a more blue/pink/purple sky, but after a lot of thought, I decided to do more warm colors and paint the sky red and orange.
This is my favorite out of our Paper Series. Personally, I don't enjoy using pencil, so this project was difficult for me; I am more of a color person.

This is my Christmas card art. Christmas is my favorite holiday, so I made sure to put my favorite Christmas treats in the artwork.

My favorite thing to do in our sketchbooks is test out colors for my projects. My favorite material to use is acrylic paint, so many of my pages are full of color tests and trying different techniques. We also do a daily sketch of famous artwork, so I put my favorite sketch on the right: Trimming the Tree by Norman Rockwell.

Printmaking Projects
This piece is the first print we did as a class. It was a practice print, but I actually liked how mine turned out, even if it's not exactly lined up well. At this same point, we were studying anatomy and how to draw proportionate bodies. As you can see here, I mixed these two things and printed a skeleton.
This print took me a very long time (around 5/6 class periods) to finish because I chose to do 4 colors. I based this piece on the song I Can't Handle Change by Roar. The way this artwork looks is the way the song makes me feel. I chose to base it off a song so I could put more emotion into it, rather than just printing to print.

This was one of our first big projects. We were told to create a portrait of who we are. I like to doodle, and I have a song in my head 24/7, so I decided to write down lyrics from what song was in my head each day that I worked on it. The messy watercolor is supposed to communicate my ever-changing, all-over-the-place thoughts.
I used ink for the first time here as well, so I'm not a big fan of this artwork because of all the mistakes I made with the ink; I don't really think it looks like me.
