Environmental Sustainability is a key consideration in Arcola Theatre in-house activities and is promoted more widely within the Arts sector.
Environmental Sustainability is also a key consideration in the Procurement approach of Arcola Energy:
Due to the nature of Arcola Energy’s business, our environmental performance and that of our suppliers is critical to the success and reputation of our business. As such, supplier environmental performance is a key factor in supplier selection and subsequent management. Our supplier selection and management activities consider supplier environmental performance at all stages:
Company Supply Chain Management Policy
Arcola Energy’s Supply Chain Management policy (QMS098) drives a top down approach to supplier management, with a strong focus on supplier environmental performance:
Excerpt from policy:
[Arcola Energy Ltd] Considers the environmental performance of our suppliers and takes appropriate action when they fall short of their commitments.
[Arcola Energy Ltd] As a minimum, complies with all relevant legislation, codes of practice and other requirements applicable to the management of supply chains, whilst ensuring through its procurement contracts, that the supply chain remains compliant, in particular, with health, safety, quality and environmental requirements.
Supplier Assessment
Once a supplier has been selected, they are assessed with our ‘New Supplier Assessment’ QMS108 form which provides a comprehensive assessment of the supplier's capability including environmental policies and responsibilities.
Ongoing Supplier Management
Arcola Energy continues to assess suppliers using QMS108 if there is a significant change in the organisation of that supplier (e.g. change of ownership) or concern raised through our normal supply chain management activites and supplier interactions. This reassessment considers all aspects covered in the initial assessment, including the environmental performance and responsibilities of the supplier.
