The PURPOSE of Ballard UK & Arcola Companies' Environmental Management System (EMS) is to:

The SCOPE is Ballard UK & Arcola Companies are committed to minimising their negative environmental impact within their means and
promoting sustainability best practices within every aspect of their activities. Ballard UK & Arcola are developing a rigorous
Environmental Management System based on the ISO 14001:2015 standard, ensuring compliance with all
relevant environmental laws, and informed by our company objectives.
This includes:
1) To be a leader in environmental performance in our respective fields.
2) Certify all Arcola Companies to ISO 14001 by the end of 2019.
3) Continue to monitor and reduce energy consumption where possible.
4) Maintain renewable energy generation.
5) Minimise CO₂e emissions and other forms of pollution generated and casued by all aspects of
operations including from:
i) Energy use.
ii) Water.
iii) Waste.
iv) Travel.
v) Procurement.
6) Encourage a reduction in CO₂e emissions from customers.
7) Promote environmental awareness through our activities and communications.
We have identified the following operational PROCESSES to be critical for the delivery of the Scope:
