01. Business Administration System

Our Business Administration System (BAS) addresses matters which affect everything we do "company-level" activity. That is the Why, the What and the Manner in which our companies do things.

Think of BAS as being Business Administration in the MBA-sense, rather than the boxes-of-files-sense. That means business planning, legal, governance, risk management - think "suits".

BAS also covers the practical implementation of our Integrated Management System:

• Complex tasks and organisations are best controlled via processes (or workflows).

• Processes serve to achieve goals.

• With processes and goals in place one can plan, execute and monitor the outcome

• Processes are supported by tools fit for purpose and able to support or even enforce the process

• Processes define roles

• Processes and tools define the needed skills

The organization should be set up such that it can support the process with minimum friction and handovers
