Ballard UK's Human Resources Management System (HRM) is part of our Integrated Management System. It is intended to ensure we do the best possible job in specifying, finding, selecting, contracting and managing our people, all whilst complying with relevant legal requirements.
The HRM addresses all of the people engaged to work for Ballard UK/Arcola companies:
- Payroll staff, both regular 'office' staff (e.g. managers/engineers) and 'casual' staff teams on rota.
- Freelance contractors (e.g. youth theatre practitioners, technical crew, Creative Teams)
- Actors and Stage Management (who are engaged as self-employed contractors, but have special status in some areas of employment law)
- Interns & Volunteers
- Contractors
Company Objectives which are particularly relevant to HR include:
- Best-in-class approach to Compliance
- Passionate, motivated staff with appropriate facilities
- Continuous, targeted learning and development of all staff
- Dedication to continuous improvement
There are critical interactions between HRM and Health & Safety - if you can't find something here, it might be because it is considered a Health and Safety issue.
