5th Grade Writing Celebration

5th graders celebrated their growth as powerful narrative writers and agents of their own learning by sharing their personal narratives with 4th graders and 3rd graders! The 5th grade classrooms were flooded with stories about meaningful experiences the authors have lived. They made these moments come to life through actions, description, dialogue and internal thoughts.

4th & 5th Grade
Math Parent School

Teaching parents about current math instructional techniques and new Common Core standards is of paramount importance. This educational partnership fosters a deeper understanding and support system for students. As math instruction methods evolve, here at ANS we strive to ensure that our parents are equipped with the knowledge to assist their children effectively and understand new instructional techniques. The Common Core standards emphasize critical thinking, problem-solving, and conceptual understanding, which may differ from traditional teaching methods. When parents are informed about these changes, they can provide consistent and informed guidance, ensuring a seamless learning experience for their children. Moreover, this collaboration bridges the gap between home and school, strengthening the educational foundation for students and helping them thrive in a mathematically evolving world.

4th Grade Students
Support CONANCA Club

In a heartwarming initiative, fourth-grade students at ANS have embarked on a creative journey to make a difference in the lives of children battling cancer. Their idea is as inspiring as it is ingenious: crafting handmade jewelry to raise funds for the CONANCA Club, a noble cause dedicated to supporting young warriors in their fight against cancer. These young philanthropists are not only honing their artistic skills but also learning the profound value of compassion and empathy. By channeling their creativity into a project that benefits others, these students are demonstrating the power of youth-driven initiatives and exemplifying the true spirit of generosity and community support. Their endeavor not only yields beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces but also a shining example of the positive impact young hearts can make on the world.

APROQUEN Club
Walk-a-thon

The fifth graders at ANS have displayed incredible compassion and determination by actively supporting the ANS Aproquen Club. Through a combination of walking, running, and seeking donations, these young students have demonstrated their commitment to helping young burn victims in need. Their collective efforts showcase their generous spirit and how our community unites for a worthy cause. The fifth graders' dedication to supporting burn victims through their actions is truly inspiring and heartwarming, reflecting the best qualities of empathy and solidarity in our school community.a
