Spanish Literacy Celebrations

We celebrate our Tigers' successes. This week we had the opportunity to celebrate our Kindergarteners, First Graders and Third Graders Spanish Literacy. Parents joined in the celebrations where our students showcased their mastered Spanish skills.

Feel Your Best Self

This week we had the pleasure of hosting the dynamic Feel Your Best Self team. Their innovative approach to social-emotional learning through puppetry truly captivated our faculty, students and parents alike.

Feel Your Best Self (FYBS) is a toolkit for learning 12 simple, emotion-focused coping strategies. These types of strategies are important life skills, and when used regularly, can promote emotional well-being. Using FYBS, kids explore the strategies to find those that help them feel their best as they navigate different situations.

Goals for SLCs

For parents - see and hear from their child and teacher about what the child is already good at and what they are working on to keep growing as a learner.

For students - take an active role in talking about their learning and review trimester I goal and set a new goal for Trimester III to keep growing as a learner.

For teachers - partner with parents by showing what we are teaching and how you are supporting their child’s learning at school.

Observe and Wonder - Birdwatching

Our primary scientists have been using their observation skills to collect data and identified 27 different bird species on Soccer Field #2 during the last cycle of Big Questions Day!

Amazingly 4 of the birds they identified were birds we had never seen before! Their level of skill and enthusiasm was incredible and If you would like to encourage them to continue at home here are a couple of apps that can help you turn birdwatching into an everyday habit for your family!

Hungry Tiger!

The new Hungry Tiger continues to offer an exceptional culinary experience to our students here at ANS.

If you have not already done so it is very important to register with the Hungry Tiger Application System so that your child can continue to access amazing meals and snacks. You can access this platform at the following link: www.hungrytiger.app.
