Norovirus - Health Update
A few weeks ago, cases of Norovirus have increased worldwide since it is highly contagious and has been affecting our children at school.
This virus affects the gastrointestinal system, developing stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, and general malaise.
Please be very careful if anyone at home has symptoms.
Children could return to school 24 hours after being FREE OF SYMPTOMS.

Prevention
Good hand hygiene, washing with soap and water, especially after going to the bathroom or changing diapers, and always before eating and preparing or handling food.
The virus can be found in vomit or stool even before you feel sick and remain in your stool for up to 2 weeks after recovery.
A 70% disinfectant alcohol solution is recommended for children at school, although this does not replace hand washing.
Wash fruits and vegetables properly, and thoroughly cook fish and seafood.
Take extreme hygiene measures if you are in contact with individuals with the infection
Clean and disinfect all contaminated surfaces by using a bleach-based household cleaner.
