ANS is committed to academic excellence through individualized learning. Our teachers use a special process for Data Wall to track how your child is doing in literacy and mathematics.
We use assessments such as MAP tests and the Benchmark Assessment System to track their progress and make sure they’re getting the help they need. Each child is unique and we are dedicated to supporting their learning journey every step of the way.

Summer Camp
Dive into an Unforgettable Summer at ANS!
Get ready for a summer packed with adventure, learning, and endless fun at ANS Summer Camp! Our camp is designed to unleash the potential of every young explorer through a series of themed weeks: Earth Guardians, Vision Voyagers, Global Pioneers, and Friendship Champions. Each theme is crafted to not only prepare them for the upcoming academic year but also to instill leadership and wellness through engaging activities. Each week our campers embark on educational outings around Managua, enhancing their weekly themes with real-world experiences and picnic fun.
BOD Candidates Needed
The American Nicaraguan School Association Bylaws stipulate that yearly elections must be held to fill Board of Directors vacancies and Vote Counting Committee members. This year’s elections will be held on Thursday, September 5th. You will be electing 2 candidates, for a 3-year term, for the Board of Directors. The 3 Vote Counting Committee positions will be elected for a 1-year term.
The positions to be filled are as follows:
1 Vacancy for a position on the Board of Directors as U.S. Citizen (3-year term)
1 Vacancy for a position on the Board of Directors as Citizen of any Nationality (3-year term)
3 Vacancies for the Vote Counting Committee (any nationality, 1-year term)
Parents interested in becoming BOD (Board of Directors) or VCC (Vote Counting Committee) candidates should complete and sign the memorandum attached and the completed Candidate Information form. Both documents must be emailed o mperdomo@ans.edu.ni by no later than 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29th, 2024

Dress Code: Students are to come in semi-formal dress.
Boys: Dress shirt (long sleeve, button down with collar), dress slacks, with dress shoes.
Girls: Dress shirt (shoulders completely covered) with dress slacks or skirt (of appropriate length), or dress (shoulders completely covered and of appropriate length), with dress shoes (of moderate height).
