Celebrating Transformative Success in Mathematics at ANS
Over the past five years, the mathematics program at ANS has undergone a significant transformation. With a strong vision and effective instructional coaching, our teachers have developed dynamic learning experiences that foster coherent, data-informed instruction. This approach has helped students build a solid conceptual understanding, which is the foundation of procedural fluency. Today, we are proud to highlight the following achievements:
82% of Primary School students are performing at or above grade level in standardized mathematics assessments.
One-third of ANS Seniors are enrolled in AP Mathematics courses, demonstrating advanced proficiency.
Daily Math Focus: We dedicate 60 minutes daily to a math workshop and an additional 30 minutes to Number Corner to enhance foundational math skills.
Mu Alpha Theta and Chi Alpha Mu: Our National and Junior National Honor Societies lead peer tutoring initiatives, fostering a supportive learning community.
Ecuacion Futuro: This ANS service club has received regional accolades for its community service, especially for teaching mathematics to students at our sister school, showcasing the practical application and impact of our math education.
These milestones reflect our commitment to providing an enriching math education that prepares students for academic success and beyond.
Summer Camp
Dive into an Unforgettable Summer at ANS!
Get ready for a summer packed with adventure, learning, and endless fun at ANS Summer Camp! Our camp is designed to unleash the potential of every young explorer through a series of themed weeks: Earth Guardians, Vision Voyagers, Global Pioneers, and Friendship Champions. Each theme is crafted to not only prepare them for the upcoming academic year but also to instill leadership and wellness through engaging activities. Each week our campers embark on educational outings around Managua, enhancing their weekly themes with real-world experiences and picnic fun.
Teacher Appreciation Week
This upcoming week is our Teacher Appreciation Week! It's a moment that as a community we take a moment to express our gratitude to the incredible educators who shape minds and inspire hearts every single day at ANS. Our PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) joins us in honoring their dedication and hard work towards academic excellence with sweet treats and promoting each day of the week a special activity where students and parents show their appreciation to teachers.

Breaking stereotypes one construction site at a time. Meet Maria Alejandra Castro Navarrete, 27, an inspiring ANS Alumnus and shining example of academic excellence and global leadership. Featured in the Magazine “Vida y Exito”, her story is a true inspiration. From ANS, to graduating in Materials Science Engineering and completing a Master’s degree in Technical Entrepreneurship at Lehigh University she’s now a Senior Field Engineer at a top Global Construction Company. Her dedication and hard work led her to excel in her field, where she showcases her exceptional skills in an innovative marine construction project.
