This week was filled with learning, creativity, and meaningful connections across our Secondary School!
Our 6th grade students impressed us with their Future Civilization projects! Drawing inspiration from ancient societies, each group created its own unique civilization, reflecting on how lessons from the past can shape a better future.
Through their projects, they demonstrated remarkable creativity and critical thinking, encouraging us all to appreciate the innovations and achievements that we often take for granted today. It was inspiring to see how they connected history with ideas about leadership, innovation, and community.
Students showcased their understanding of El Güegüense, a cornerstone of Nicaraguan culture, through interactive lapbooks. This creative summative project allowed them to explore themes, symbolism, and historical context while celebrating our rich literary heritage.
Secondary students had the opportunity to meet representatives from Tec de Monterrey and Hospital Militar, discovering new academic and professional pathways. These visits help our learners explore future career options and strengthen their understanding of global and local opportunities.
We hosted Parent–Teacher Conferences, providing valuable one-on-one time for families and teachers to discuss student progress.
Parents also attended an informative session on our No Mobile Phone Policy and the impact of social media, exploring ways to support their children’s wellbeing and focus. Meanwhile, our Year 6 students participated in a Digital Citizenship workshop, learning how to navigate the online world responsibly and safely.
