The insurance provides accident protection to your children 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, in and out of school and anywhere in the world. The insurance does not have a deductible or coinsurance, which guarantees 100% of medical expenses up to the an annual sum of US$500.00. This insurance continues to be provided by ANS at no additional charge to parents.

At the time of an accident, you must notify the insurance company, or Correduria de Seguros Mendieta & Gallard (mendietaseguros@hotmail.com or edificio Rostipollos, frente a Loteria Nacional), or the ANS Administrative Office within a maximum of five (5) business days after the event.

On the back of the insurance card, you will find the Emergency number and the names of hospitals where you can go with your child in the event of an accident. When presenting the insurance card to the hospital for the emergency, the expenses of the accident will be assumed directly by Seguros America, up to a maximum of US$300; the remaining balance must be paid by the parent, subsequently requesting a refund from the insurer up to a maximum annual coverage amount of U$500.00.

To speed up reimbursement management, in case of taking the student to a private doctor outside the authorized network, you must present the following:

1. Medical Certificate form

2. Comprehensive Profile of the Beneficiary form

3. Personal Accident Notice form

4. Photocopy of Nicaraguan identity card of the parent or legal guardian

5. Original receipts of any expenses related to the treatment of the injuries suffered in the accident, each one with its respective Order or Medical Prescription.
