Why do we use Data Wall?

Our school's use of the 'Literacy and Math Data Wall' plays a crucial role in tailoring education to each student's needs. By reviewing each child's progress in literacy and math, our teachers gain valuable insights. They identify the skills each student has mastered since August and determine the areas requiring further development. This process guides us in customizing classroom lessons and small group activities. The result is a more personalized and effective approach to learning for every student, ensuring that each child's educational journey is both supportive and successful.

Rising DALE

Get ready for an exhilarating adventure! ANS 4th and 5th graders have the unique opportunity to participate in the inaugural Rising DALE, a parliamentary debate congress organized by the Academic Debates of Student Leaders (DALE). This event will mimic the workings of the Organization of American States (OEA), giving students the opportunity to step into roles like Ambassadors or Presidents. They'll represent different countries and engage in debates conducted in English and Spanish. Students from various schools in Managua, including ANS, will join together in this initiative designed to develop responsible leaders who tackle regional issues through simulated sessions.

The experience is expertly coordinated by Prof. Sonia Dávila and Prof. Luis Castellón, with support from the ANS administration, primary school teachers, and the DALE Nicaragua student committee leaders. Its aim is to cultivate debate as a dynamic educational tool, enhancing skills like research, reading, writing, listening, and speaking. More than just an academic exercise, this event is about nurturing critical thinking, respect, tolerance, and constructive dialogue, empowering students to address and solve complex issues in a setting beyond the traditional classroom.

Pathways Creating Artwork

Our youngest tigers are engaging in collaborative learning through play. This week, our Pathways students immersed themselves in the world of art, crafting unique masterpieces using scratch paper. With scissors, tears, and an array of tools, they skillfully prepared their materials, allowing their creativity and critical thinking to shine as they expressed themselves through the vibrant medium of art!
