What is a point of sale?
A point of sale (POS) is a physical location where the shipment transaction to the exterior takes place. Points of sale have the necessary tools to handle an international shipping request. They typically utilize a computer with internet access to the GES (Global Export Solutions) system, which includes a barcode scanner for scanning products, a payment terminal for processing transactions with credit cards, debit cards, or cash, and a printer for generating receipts.
In addition to processing transactions, points of sale often have additional functions such as package tracking, issuing quotations, customer service, and invoice generation. In the case of specific matters, inquiries are also addressed through a WhatsApp group.
