Marketing automation is all about using software to automate marketing activities. Our Marketing and Development teams automate repetitive tasks such as our email welcome series and donor thank you series -- not just for the sake of efficiency, but so they can provide a more personalized experience for our constituents. The technology we have implemented for marketing automation makes these tasks easier.
Campaign Studio (Mautic) is a marketing automation platform that we implemented at the end of 2020, in order to accomplish these 3 goals:
Create Advanced Segmentation: Easily build different audiences based on behavior and customize campaigns that are tailor-made for individuals and groups alike.
Contact Scoring: Track email recipients throughout their entire lifecycle with the organization. As contacts engage with our email communications (open emails, click on links, etc), points are added to their overall score and, as some contacts become inactive over time, points are subtracted from their overall score. This allows us to have a very simple way to identify engaged contacts and to measure the engagement of different segments of our overall audience.
Contact List Management: Easily manage our contact list hygiene and ensure GDPR compliance by offering a headache free way for contacts to change their email preferences and opt out of emails.
*Note that the above video talks about two products from Acquia: Campaign Studio (Mautic) and Campaign Factory. Campaign Studio (Mautic) is a tool used by several roles throughout the organization and all the trainings on this page are recommended for anyone who uses this application. Campaign Factory is an administrator tool and only specific roles in the IT team need to complete trainings on this application.
