On Program - Repeat Day Volunteers

What are repeat day volunteers?

Repeat day volunteers are day volunteers that come back again and again. Specifically their volunteer days/blocks are non-consecutive. 

For example, I might volunteer 3 days one week then 2 days the following week and then every Thursday for the next 6 months. 

In this scenario, we want to create and associate all day volunteer hours under one application and waiver as this is essentially an extended, non-consecutive "volunteer trip". 

How to manage repeat day volunteers in Salesforce

We need to create new volunteer hours under the same application for repeat day volunteers. These might be in the future so we can schedule and correctly forecast our volunteer numbers in the future. Or these hours may be in the past. 

In both these scenarios follow the below steps - 

1. Find and open the volunteer's application record

2. Post a comment on the "Chatter" feed detailing how many records need to be created and for which dates - remember to mention the correct VCM in the comment so they get notified!

3. Done!

The VCM will create the appropriate volunteer hours' records and then reply letting you know they have completed the request.
